All popular forms of poker can be played with different betting structures. No Limit is the most common. In the World Series of Poker, No Limit Texas Hold’em is the game.
The player can basically bet everything throughout the course of No Limit games - just as the name "No Limit" would lead you to believe. The size of the smallest starting bet is based upon the predetermined Blinds. Players can raise as often as they like in No Limit games.
As with No Limit, the player can bet a variable amount from a minimum up to a maximum. The difference here is that the maximum bet is the size of the pot. This means that the amount in the pot at the moment when a player wishes to make a bet represents the maximum "Limit" which that player can bet. The number of raises is likewise unlimited.
In Limit games the betting limit is pre-determined. Players can raise a maximum of three times. Bet - Raise (first) - Reraise (second) - Capped (third). Limit games are perfect for beginners since bets are easier to calculate.
